About RTP Explained
A plain-language resource on casino game statistics
RTP Explained was created to answer a question a lot of players type into search engines but rarely get a straight answer to: what does RTP actually mean, and does it really change day to day?
What we do
We break down the statistics behind casino games — Return to Player (RTP), volatility, house edge, and how random number generators (RNGs) are certified — so that marketing claims can be read critically rather than taken at face value.
What we don't do
- We don't publish "live" or "today's" RTP figures, because no such verifiable figure exists.
- We don't provide betting strategies, "hot slot" recommendations, or predictions about future outcomes.
- We don't let sponsorships change how we explain the underlying statistics.
How this site is funded
Some pages include sponsored referral links to licensed gambling platforms, marked as advertisements where they appear. We may earn a commission if you register through one of these links. This funding relationship does not influence the statistical explanations on this site.
How we source information
Where we cite a specific figure — such as a published RTP percentage — we trace it to the software provider's own documentation or independent testing-lab certification wherever it's publicly available, and we say so. Where a figure can vary by operator or region, we say that too.
A note on gambling risk
Understanding RTP is about statistical literacy, not a way to improve your odds or predict outcomes. If you or someone you know is struggling with gambling, see our responsible gambling resources page.
